ASOPCAFA is located in Huila. The highest mountain in this region rises over 2,300 m.a.s.l., where the village of La Union is located bordering with the South of Tolima. Aipe is surrounded by the Magdalena, Aipe, Baché and Pata rivers.
Coffee grown here is blessed by the soil and climatic conditions, enabling ASOPCAFA’s 84 asossiated producers to yield amazing cups that are greatly appreciated by roasters and coffee lovers around the world.
The coffee is picked in fully ripened cherry then its taken to a receiving hopper, after that it is un-pulped and taken to tanks where the coffee is washed and left in water for 24 hours for fermentation, afterwards it is taken to the patio to be sun dried.
